I WOULD love to tape them someday. I do have a CD of sounds but it is never quite the same as the real thing... I have some rain too. The sounds of nature are the best!
Blessed Earth Mama, there is nothing that peirces the very depths of ones soul as the familiar sounds of nature, my favourite it how the little Fantails squeek and churp in the deep forest and also hearing the tiny steams too. Maybe you would beable to either get a tape of the Peepersby visiting those mountians again or finding a tape of them. My hubby has heaps of those sound tapes, all except the rain which is my favorite.
I would love to sometime! They are little frogs that make "peeping" noises at night. Might be my favorite sound EVER!
No wonder you like this pic then Blesses Earth Mama, maybe you will go back to the mountians smday. What are peepers?
Oh how I miss the mountains. I grew up in a small town right in the middle of mountains. There are no mountains in Ohio.... Mountains and peepers are 2 things I miss the most out here... I love the hat/tam as well, it is a very nice pattern and I LOVE brown...
Thats half the fun Ixchel - and having smone with some knitting knowlage will help alot as us knitters and crocheters love to solve a challange.
Good luck and please let me know if you have difficulties.

Oh Thank you FoxPaw, it would be great to know of smthing similar that does it for mosquitos.
I would be terrified of consuming anything in the toadstil family! Looks like you have a wealth of info.
She does look like a very gentle soul
Mhmm i believe soo "It is called the mushroom of flies, because crushed in milk it kills flies"-Wikipedia. They are poisonous and psychoactive....and i read you have to bake them if you wanna consume them
I've been trying to find a pattern similar, unfortunately no such luck yet. I know how to do the honeycombing, but I've never designed a pattern myself so winging it isn't something I'm able to do. I think i'm going to take a blown up photo to my LYS & see if the lady there can help me come up with a pattern though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
