wow that was alotta work thst all set u back and to answer the question about loops its not only normal but nesacary thats really your 1st signs of real dreading usualy it would start around 3 months and by 9 months be starting to go away
but since u backcombed then workied on them for 7 months your now at the 3 month teen stage (all these are estimates nothings set in stone) your dreads will be great now the looping is a very good sign

they shrink the 1st 8 months of dreading well since u worked on em so muchthat will be delayed probly but they shrink alot till they grow
it can vary alot
some ppl with waist length hair had em shrink to 5 inches ..that drastic but 1/2 to 2/3 is typical
its just them dreading and tightening up
your finaly seeing actual dreading unfortunately at the time they should have been nearly mature
but its ok they will turn out beautiful and u are in the best place to keep em growing good forever
