Hi! Hope you had a nice vacation :) First off, bumps and kinks are just signals that the dreads are maturing and not something to worry about. All natural dreads do this and the bumps and irreguarities disappear many times as time goes on. I am glad that your hair is feeling stronger and healthier. As for a dread removal kit....what does this involve? Anything you do at this point will cause more damage...depending on what is in this kit the damamge will be more or less. If you are removing because of the bumps and lumps it is unnecessary. Could you post a pic to let me see what is going on with your hair? Sending peace and happiness.

So happy! Sending you love and good vibes! This should get your hair straightened out and healthy and then you can restart your journey again....so glad I could help you sister. Use the products until things get fixed and then return to a residue free product once you are dreading....trim frequently for a bit and you will be fine :)

Hi! Okay, let's see if I can answer all this. First off, I don't believe Nexxus is all organic...the problem is, there are times where hair needs animal protein because that is what hair is made of (we are animals ourselves!). Just plant extracts and herbs are not going to fix your situation...sorry! Nexxus is the fastest way to remedy this problem, unless you want to spend atleast a year doing it another way. The reason that your hair is more elastic is that it is over-processed, which is very bad. Hair that has been pushed beyond its limits becomes gooey and extra stretchy and usually takes longer to dry...these are all signs of a critical condition. Hair extensions are costly and do damage in several ways...the biggest in adding pull to the strands that are already too elastic. The result will be more and more breakage...no doubt about it. You can not leave extensions in forever eithier. The constant demands will take a toll. Hair extensions are like acrylic finger nails, if you have ever had them and then removed them you will understand what I am referring to. La Verne is a suburb of Los Angeles, next to the city of Pomona, San Dimas, Rancho Cucamonga....

Hi Sweetie! So glad to hear from you! First off, I supposedly "retired" 10 years ago but my clients refused to stop coming so I do all of them at home now. I worked in various salons for 20 years and specialize in color, though I pretty much do everything. I am new to dreads (3mos. for me), but given my knowledge I knew what was true here at the site. First off, any perm (dread or otherwise) works on the same principle and any perm has the potential to be very damaging...with alot depending on the good/bad skills of the stylist. Right now, it seems to me that you probably need to remove your dreads all together...given the sectioning and the damage...but also because the dreads are kinda all over with their developement. I would unfortunately, suggest a good cut to help the hair recoup. I would also invest in a good professional shampoo and conditioner if I were you. You need to use a reconstructive, deep conditioner atleast once or twice a week for awhile. This would involve washing and applying a reconstructor and leaving it covered with a plastic cap for about an hour and then rinsing. You may need more than one cut to get the hair straightened out. I would absolutely NOT recommend extensions. I think that they are silly at best...but in your case I would like to emphasize how much more damage they would inflict...at this point your hair can't take anything like that. I live in La Verne, Ca...don't know where you are. Wish i could see your hair! As for the products i suggested...I would try Nexxus Botanoil Shampoo, Ensure daily Conditioner and Keraphix Reconstructor. These products will help alot....they are heavy duty restorers! How long ago was the perm? Do you also have color or highlights? And what is your length, color and texture? Give me an idea and I may be able to provide more help. Hope that gets you started...you poor thing! Sorry this happened to you, but we can get you back on track...promise1
