as for dreads when u put wax in..it dont wash out! ever it can survive 10 years of washing it had to be agressivly removed if u want to tame frizz for a performance..use aloe from the plant it shrinks as it dries and sucks in hairs..but the crochet has broken so many hairs and if u have done it monthly or more then monthly you will go through a loooong recovery period with extreme frizz (the hairs u "fix" breaks a dozen more that pop oit u fix them again breaking more etc so when u stop the frizz gets wild for 6 months or more it takes to recover they will settle down on their own though'
this is mine never did a thing to them or used anything on them they will tame themselves as they mature and take care of themselves u dont have to do a thing
and it was back in the 80s cant rememv=ber exactly when..early 80s i think wait no..85 86 i signed up to volunteer just for a day to help them get ready to be taken away to a resort but the 1 guy talked me into going the full 10 days the ringling bros team was there as well i woerked security with many we did ropes courses tying rival gang members toger=ther and forcing them to depend og=n eachi[other as well as intence counceling etc therewere 2 riots (they expect the to riot on certain days) they broke every window turned phone booths into pretzyls blew up the hot water heaters it was crazy but intence and mazing
oh waxz is horible too wax is a dread destroyer as well it traps dirt anrd water causes dreds to ri[-ot from the inside and is the number 1 cause of dreads being cut wax prevents dreading so does crochet if u crochet once only it prevents all progress for 6 months! wax.. will prevent them from ever dreading
u got to remove all traces of wax and throw that hook away
