I started my dreads on New Years Eve.. I had them professionally crocheted 3 times so far since then. I haven't been back inalmost 2 months because I heard how bad it was. The lady also had me using hair glue and I can't get it out.. my head itches constantly and I've used baking soda but I usually use dr. bronners residue free shampoo once a week. Also.. is there any way to speed up progress and tighten up my ends and roots? I see on here everyone is so far along after a few months and mine are barely starting to lock up.. if that's even what they're doing? I only know african americans with dreads and I'm white so i'm not sure how mine should look when they're locking.. I work at a hospital and they bitch about my dreads already bc theyre so nappy and the roots and ends are so fuzzy.. just wondering if there was anything I could do or what to use that I could buy at walmart or somewhere.... thanks !!!

at walmart get gunk out or dissolvit to remove the glue

stop crochrting right now you need them to loosen not tioghten

at work tie them back they can bitch but they cant force u to ruin your dreads tell them its normal to have loose roots and tips so they shouldnt be complaining singce they are perfectly normal as they are

you do not want to speed up progress you want to speed up recovvery if anything crochet made them way too tight stiff and damaged so u got to leave em alone let them recover but crochet recovery takes a long time

lets see pictures
