I basically palm roll and separate once a month. The rest of the time i just wash. By the way, I tried BS wash and ACV last weekend, locs feel real light. Before i just did BS alone.

I know most here do free forming locs. I would like to know who else does semi-freeform? I do maintenance once a month and as they age i look to do less.

I know this is probably pretty random. but when i was getting my hair done, a lady mention 'loc sorrow' or something along the lines of misfortune brought about by letting people touching you hair or being in negative environment.. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I do not let anyone touch my hair, but i have been more lenient about exposing my hair in negative environments, which i did not do initially.
I do not want to believe that I have been struck with such a thing, but lately really crazy things have been happening, in particular after I started meditation and gotten back to my spiritual practice. Just wondering if people have heard of this or experienced anything similar.

Yeah my hair was under my shoulders, you can see the picture how short it is now! But i know they will grow eventually. In how long do you think i will actual growth? I do less separating because at first i used to be obsessed with them, now i just wash them let them be, except for once a month.

I've read several posts about separating locs. I just tried to do it, i have many times, but today i realized that it feels so unnatural as well as being a lot of work. am i doing it the wrong way? I have a lot of separating to do particularly on my right side, and i only do it once a month when i also do some palm rolling.
I also can't believe how much my hair has shrunk, everyone is asking me if i cut my hair. 
how much more shrinking should i expect? It has been four months now.

Why don't u use organic virgin coconut oil? NOW foods, is the one i use after every wash, it also helps hold down freezies cause it kind of acts like a hold. the one you posted sounds like it has too much stuff that isn't good for you hair.

Tried it and it makes my hair smell so good! at first my hair felt rough when wet but once dried it got soft. I think i might stick to it for now.
