Thanks, Brandon. It's certainly a great experience.

I am... once or twice a week, and salt water occasionally on my way out of the shower, but not with any regularity. Love, love, LOVE that shampoo.

I know, right? I don't have dreads; I have scribbles.

Note: about 3 washes ago, I switched to Nature's Gate brand tea tree shampoo. All cruelty free and vegan ingredients. Really helps with dryness and itching on the scalp, no sulfates, smells minty and wonderful. I get it at WalMart in the area with Burt's Bees and other natural HBA items. I don't think I'm going to need any separate conditioner with this. My locks are soft, but not loose. I love it.

This is my hair in its "natural" state:

Any "texture" you might imagine is, I assure you, the work of very clever cutting and coloring.

My own hair is very fine, silky and straight, so it needed a little boost to get going. ;P
Mine is, too. I just got a loose spiral perm a little while before I started dreading. The perm made my hair naturally start sectioning off, and I think it was what made all this possible. I didn't get the perm with an eye toward what it would do when I started dreading, I just needed something to add some life to my baby-fine, bone-straight, hug-my-head hair.
