thanks! Its def my favorite tat. I didn't want a classic peace sign or a regular pot leaf like everyone else so I came up with this. And good to hear other people have thick locks out there. I love em chunky..they feel awesome. Someone told me I should rip some in half but screw that. Lol

thought i'd post another update. I just gave them their first bath! I unfortunately didn't have any dread soap or money to get any, but I had a toysrus gift card and found a really nice organic rosemary oil shampoo. A little more moisturizing than I wanted, but it wont leave any nastiness in my hair, and it really helped my scalp. It says its for lice care, and i have never had lice (andhopefullynever will), but it is still a great product in my opinion. http://www.fairytaleshaircare.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_fthc.tpl&product_id=55&category_id=6&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=61

anyway, here are my 9 day old dreadie photos :)

I had dreads years ago, but they were started with tons of wax (and even hair grease), bands, just tons of bad stuff. So I cut them off, and let my hair grow out for a year. I recently have been craving them like crazy, so I decided to re-do them. I did not want to go completely natural, needing some instant gratification due to my situation, but i'm very happy to report they were done with no product, crochet needle, or rubber bands :)

day one:

day 4:

Day 9:

2 week birthday!!: (today i decided i wanted some 'normal' hair in the front, so i combed out one dread..which really hurt!, but i like the 'bangs' look)

They're already started to fatten up a little, i can't wait to keep posting on my time line :)
