Help! Save My Dreads

So as u know if been trying to go neglect but I just started working at a car wash.. I left my hair diwn the first day but it kept blocking my view then while vacuuming I sucked my hair up and it kept touching the dirty floor.. the next day i tried a headband it still obstructed my view.. so now I have to put it in a ponytail :( should I just twist and rip it? Or leave it be... I work 5-6 days a week 5hrs-10hrs daily

how does a dread become the size of the root?

General Talk

Yes 9 on the whole head would take weeks to dry and get mouldy! I'm just happy there not going to be 4" thick that scared me.. the rest of my head as you have seen is naturally sectioning really small. Just those damn forced dreads that have big sections. On the bright side 9 sections in the back will be easy for me to keep from Congoing.

So i looked her up they were medium to begin with but if u look closely they congoed into fatties.
So here is a picture of said dread the circumference is the total width of the section.. is it going to get bigger.. the wife tells me to stop worrying its as big as its going to get but i keep hearing this and it makes me want to chop it off.. its only been backcombed no interlocking or crochet its going to be 10mo old on the 20th..

9 months neglect video

General Talk

So it's hard to show with pictures what's going on.. so I made a little video. The first dread I hold up is whats visibly knotty the rest is sectioned hair holing together some how there also super tiny and I haven't separated in about 2 months.. just want to know if it's doing better or worse then I think.

how does a dread become the size of the root?

General Talk

So I asked this on another forum and I was told that No dreads do not become the size of the section they are a fraction the size of it. However the loose hair from the section can be bigger or smaller then the section but when it knots up it becomes smaller.correct me if this is wrong....
