possibly a weird question

General Questions

Would I would worry more about it coming out since your dreads are not mature, that means you would normally be washing your hair a couple of times during the week.

I have some dreadlocks from my ex that I was thinking of adding (glad I didnt) but they were more mature than mine, I didnt know what to do. The other day i was thinking about getting extensions to make my locs chest length the same length they were before starting my dreads and to make them all the same length so I have more options to styling since I'm trying to get a job and all. I liked the idea but I don't think I will follow through with it.

Help me save my baby locs before it's too late

Help! Save My Dreads

Wash your hair. If you don't want to go full neglect then wash weekly, retwist every other week and stop using so much products, it just adds to build up.

scalp moisturizer

Dread Maintenance

Wash your hair with that soap every other day,

I like to experiment with my hair, I have been washing daily. So far no negative signs, hair seems fuller, always feel and looks with enough moisture. They tend to congo now so I have to separate more often but I might let the thin ones congo with another one. So far I'm loving how my dreads feel, specially at the roots.

Also I have noticed that my crocked ends are straitening little by little, I miss my zigzags but on the other hard they feel more tight overall, roots included.

Well thicker hair doesn't sound bad. My theory is that just as what chemicals you put on your hair that can have a negative impact, there are other things than you can put that will have a positive impact. I have been researching about these shampoos and while I don't have evidence other than testimonials about the hair growth, I know that regardless, they do have other ingredients that are good for the hair so if the hair is healthier and break less then that affects positively hair growth as regardless of the rate of growth, you will retain your length instead of losing some due to breakage and such.

But yes, the best way is to start with the inside, but the outside is also important. I have been trying to eat healthier, and in case I cant, then keep the junk to a minimum as these changes are gradually unless you are stuck on an island and only have organic food instead of junk food restaurants to mess up your diet.

So in my humble opinion, if you find a good shampoo that doesn't have harsh chemicals then try it. After all, the minimum requirements for locs is keep them clean, even separating is optional.

Hair lengthening shampoo?

Dread Products

Well Since I started my journey my hair has been shrinking and I have been cutting so around month 5 or so it was the length it would start but it was mostly locked already.

I just play attention the the front row after and before a wash. When it is wet it weights more so they lay down and I used to measure the length by where on my face the tips will be. Also that's the row I haven't cut so I remember that they were almost reaching my eyebrows and now they get into my eyes so I know that no matter how much it shrinks after a wash when they get dry there has been some hair growth.

I can't tell if it is fast or not because there was a time period when I started relaxing my hair and I noticed that my hair grow was almost non existing while now it grows faster but I don't know if it has gone back to regular or if it is actually faster than normal.

SE, what do you think about this one, seems to be better than the previous booting shampoo, this is the pack but they can be purchased separately. They have it on my local gnc I could review it but I don't know about the phase 2 and phase 3 if they would be OK for dreads. My hair type needs daily moisture unlike Caucasian hair. http://www.millcreekusa.com/biotene-h-24/tri-pack

You can even use this one daily. Biotin shampoo with the oils it has and the aloe there won't be any need to use conditioner.

Mane and tail shampoos have sulfates, maybe you can find another one without it.
