Ahh There's So Much Frizz

crochet and dread tools recovery

I crocheted for about a month...and they've been ultra frizzy for about 2 weeks now. Thanks everyone for the advice and at SE I'm already starting to see looping and I'm loving the way they're going.

Ahh There's So Much Frizz

crochet and dread tools recovery

Okay so a couple months ago I finally embraced the natural way after several months of being brainwashed by the "other dread guys" yea we all know who I'm talking about. Anyway, so after starting washing with the baking soda recipe which I just follow from recipes on here, I've noticed my dreads are super frizzy and messy, and yes I know that's the natural way. But it seems I can't really find a way to maintain them at all. When I go to bed at night its like they have secret meetings to create as much frizz and loose hair as possible and since I've given up the crochet needle I don't know what to do. I'm perturbed and upset by the entire situation, wondering constantly if my dreads will ever defrizz themselves or if I should be doing something different...any insight would help. Thanks.

One Stubborn Lock

Introduce Yourself

So my dreads have been completed since October 18, 2012. They're only a couple months old but I have super thick curly hair so most of them are locked up and won't budge. However, I was getting ready to go this morning when I noticed that one of my locks has fallen completely apart...I'm not sure what to do about this since it's the only one. Maybe re-back comb? I put a rubber band at the base and put some wax in it. My dreads were started using the twist and rip method and I honestly wash my hair about once a week. I've also been crocheting my dreads and I feel like its doing more damage than helping and I just end up with more loose hair which becomes exasperating to deal with. Any ideas on what to do to fix these problems? :)
