How did people react when you told them that you were going dready?

My friends were all very excited. As for family, they all kinda expect me to be different so for a few months my grandparents acted like there was an elephant in the room they couldnt talk about. But finally struck up a convo asking questions about them. My dad was kinda weirded out about them but remained supportive. So far only two people have told me I should cut them
