Introduction and first day questions

It's funny. Most people don't understand the beginning stages. They see someone with nappy hair and they think that person needs to brush their hair, but when they see someone with mature locks they love them. It doesn't occur to those people that locks came from that persons nappy hair.

Stick with it. And if you find any of your old locks with wax , grab a razor blade and slice it in half (length wise) and take a picture of that.

yeah, everyone around here with dreads knew that i had baby dreads right off the bat, and people who had at least seen people start dreads. it was actually rather nice, definitely something encouraging to me to definitely keep on.

lucky thing for me i had completely gotten out any wax, but unfortunately i didnt split any of the dreads in half to get a picture of the core, that would have made a very good example of what can happen in a short time.
