Mature locks take, on average, a year to form. I'd say they start looking neat around 8 months. But there are 1001 factors that go into how locks form. There's noway to tell when your's will look neater.

I use a spray bottle. something like 8oz. Mix 3.5% salt to water. Then you can add any oils you want. Rosemary and teetrea are great for healthy locks. Spray it on and let it sit for a 10 minutes - 2 hours. Then wash your hair like normal
