I agree with making smaller sections for you, though it looks like you have more than 18 in the pic.

I have 29 locs now, it started with 42. Several combined and mine very in size from just slightly smaller than pencil diam. to on that fits a size 8 ring, about an inch in diam. the largest one is actually 4 combined.
