washing too often....

I pretty much live at the beach. I am there at least 5 days a week. My baby dreads are just over a week old. My problem, I want to wash my hair when I get home from the beach. How much is too much? I've been using BS wash. So far they are doing really well and don't seem to be affected but I don't want to do something I shouldn't be doing.

By the way..... the people in this site are so kind and caring. I really appreciate that a lot!

Thank you Julia! I think I'll just rinse like you said. It makes a lot of sense!

Hey, I might not be much help but I'm in the same boat as you. I go to the beach almost every day and swim in the salt water. After I go to the beach I just give my head a quick rinse, I dont even thoroughly wash it. I just hold it under the water until i feel it all wet and then squeeze it out. They are fine after that. I dont think you should use the baking soda wash every day. Knowing that salt water is actually very good for your dreads to tighten up, its not a bad thing to keep it in there a little bit.
