crocheting vs sewing?

Hey there. I had just a simple question. I was wondering if there was any difference between crocheting and sewing loose hairs into the dread? Obviously, I know one difference is one is with a crochete needle and the other is with an eye needle. but what I really wanna know is, is sewing just as "bad" as crocheting? what is the method in sewing? and if anyone sews their loose hairs, how has it worked out for you? ok. more than one question but your anwsers are appreciated. thanks for reading.-Nicole

it does. thanks for your input. my dreads are 2 and a half years and i have crochetted in the past but have stopped a while back. my loose hairs are nuts now but im still trying to patiently let em do their thing. haha

I agree, sewing seems more appropriate for extending and crocheting for maintenance.
