Anyone had experience with this shampoo?

I became intrigued after seeing that Eyeheartchrist uses it,as I want my dreads to turn out like his.

here's the shampoo...

it say "conditioning shampoo" so i would think it wouldn't be good when your just starting out. eyeheartchrist has had locks for almost 4 years so his hair wouldn't be as affected by the conditioning.

Point taken!
I'm currently using either Dr.Bronners or Baking soda/ACV,can you name any shampoos that are dread safe?

try to find handmade natural soaps around your community. I found a great place near me called Lotus Leaf Health Market and they had shelves of soaps & essential oils. I bought a bar called "Garden Gate" the ingredients are: saponified oils of soybean, olive, coconut & shea butter. Essential oils: spearmint, peppermint, lavender, rosemary

Thank you very much FoxPaw,I did go to a local store called the Health Hut,and the only bars I could find that were close to what I wanted were Dr.Bronner's,which in both liquid and bar form leaves my hair feeling downright disgusting.I will look into these bars, along with Black African Soap, which has caught my attention, but I find it difficult to find one with little shea butter. Thanks again.

if dr. bronners bar soap leaves your hair feeling gross then chances are that all the natural soaps will do the same. you probably have hard water. i do and it makes it very hard to use any natural products because the minerals and crap in the water cause a coating of sorts that doesn't mix well with the oils in the soaps. just find a good shampoo without a lot of crap in it. eyeheartchrist has used quite a few different shampoos through his locking. prell is one of them which is easy to find at any walmart, etc. i personally don't like the smell of prell but others do so you might give it a shot. my absolute favorite shampoo (after trying a ton of them) is desert essence lemon tea tree shampoo for oily hair. you can find it at health food stores like whole foods, sprouts, henry's, etc. it cleans my scalp really well and gets my hair squeaky clean. hth:)

That is very helpful, thanks for the advice.Did you also have problems with Baking soda /ACV?

As I found that incredibly unpleasant.

yeah, i can't do the bs/acv wash either. it leaves my hair feeling unclean and the acv makes my hair too soft. here's what i do and it works really well for me and my stupid hard water. get yourself a squeeze bottle (from a beauty supply store or maybe even walmart). my bottle holds 12 oz. I fill it to about an inch from the top with water then i add 1 tbs. of bs and a squirt of my shampoo. put the cap on and shake. the bottle i have has has a long nozzle on the end which helps me to directly squirt the mixture on my scalp. you don't really have to do the bs but i do it because it drys my hair out a bit which is giving it more grip for knotting. once i have more established locks i will probably just do the shampoo/ water mix. hth:)

I tried this with prell, and it worked pretty well.

I do agree with you on rinsing, though. I will need to get that shampoo and one of those bottles, and try it with BS.

Once again, the beautiful Heather has come to the rescue,if I had a funnel cake in my pocket, and you lived nearby,I wouldn't hesitate to give it to you.
