well mine are all natural i never did anything to them kist let them dread on theyre own
thats actually the best way
if your freinds used wax or suggest wax ..run..dont let em touch u
alotta ppl have dreads that diont know a thing about dreads and do alotta dumb things
but if you cant go natural id do twist and rip over backcomb it staystogether better does less damage and looks better from day 1
and twist and rips better then backcomb by far

well the turning into s giant matt means it wants to dread fast so all u needed to do is seperate often to keep it in distinct dreasds
