Hey guys! Looks like I'll be heading to Chico CA instead this summer. I have  just got an acre of land over there and will be looking into cal-earth earthbag stuctures for a home on it. If anyone is in the Chico area and has a room to rent please send me a PM. Just need a place to sleep and shower so I can get up on my feet over there in the area. Thanks everyone :)

you will have no probley meeting people in Arcata an the Humbolt area , you will fit right in an will absolutely love it :) i went there during Harvest time there are dreadies an free spirits everywhere :)

Welcome to the group new folks! Still heading to the Arcata Area this spring in April or May sometime. Trying to find a place to park my bus till we get situated in a more permanent place. Anyone know if there are any public lands close to town where I could park and not be bothered by the LEO's. Thanks

haven't made it that far north yet but I hear it's lovely country up there. Beautiful bus! I particularly love the paint job, it remjnds me of the colors on a Japanese beetle- all you gotta do is put some roses on there for it to eat. Hope your family likes it!

In april/may when the snow melts enough, I'll be driving to Arcata. I almost have a bus done (check it out in the traveling dreadies group pic by pic progress thread) And when its done I'll be driving that down there and living in that until I either find a fixxer upper home or a piece of land to build a home... Looks like such a beautiful place to live we are all very excited. I'm in Southern Idaho right now, redneck central its fine and all but after 20 years of my life here I really need to be around some like minded peoples. SO Arcata here I come!
