Information

asian dreadlocks

this includes "asian" because we would like to be all inclusive with filipinos, indians, sri lankans & other ethnic groups that may be "asian"

all hair dreads, but some hair types respond better than others to certain techniques

asian dreads

contrary to popular belief, asian hair is generally no more difficult to dread then any other.
often asians are told they have to crochet (which is very damaging) because nothing else will work, this is totally false. asians can go natural, backcomb, tnr or use any methods they choose.
the longer the hair the faster it will dread in general

i detect the influencde of entirely too much alcaohol? wewll we allow ppl to be an asshole when well asholishness just happens not everyone can be nice n sweet everyday but dude dont let that bgecome a habbit ok? behave a lil better say your sorry and lets move on get dreadeed and be happy

dreads arent a status thing they diont care if u ricjh or not they about being happy wise and in tune with nature so come on embrace the inner dread then they grow on your head so be happy be in tune with nature show some wisdom and kindness and guess what dreads will happen

What the hell?! I don't know why there is so much animosity when I've been nothing but nice and helpful. Keep the anger in check. It is absolutely not necessary in this forum except toward wax shops or other harmful greedy product pushers and "locticians."

You're welcome Nick. Hehe, I hope you got permission from the person to use that pic. It's perfectly fine to use one of your own without dreads. Without waxing it can definitely be done. I would highly recommend reading all the links to the right====> and going through member photographs. Most of the people in this forum are wax free and soaringeagle is the best proof. He's been wax free for 20 years and his dreads are still going strong. He used the natural/neglect method too.

u abvsolutely can dread without waxing and dont think "get them done" do em yourseldf if u want dreads like his id do twist and rip his are probably crocheted its very popular in asian countries but its a bad idea and very damaging twist and rip will give ya dreads very simular but more healthy more natural..but do not trust any salon to help u dread..ever
