Bummed out...thinning out in center/end of dreadlocks

Help! Save My Dreads

I think it's normal for more mature dreads. Mine are natural about 4 years old, and I have the same thing going on with one of my favorite locks. A few of my ends have broken off small parts already, but I believe that is mainly from the sun drying them out.

Why are my dreads so curly?

General Questions

My hair is naturally very curly and it makes it easier for my hair to dread up, but I don't understand why my solid dreads are curly. All other people I see who have curly hair have straight dreads. When I touch my dreads they feel just as compact as any other persons dreads, but for some reason mine will not go straight which makes it look like I just have very curly, crazy hair. People tell me that I don't have real dreadlocks because of this, but I clearly do have real natural dreadlocks. Do you think my dreads will always be curly because my hair is just that wild? Or are my dreads just not developed enough to straighten out?

Scalp problems

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I've been letting my hair dread naturally for about 10 months and they're starting to get pretty solid now. My problem is dandruff and moist scalp/oily hair. I have tried many different residue free shampoos and have tried vinegar, but nothing is working right, it's like my hair keeps going through different phases. For the last 2 months I've been using the Tea Tree and Rosemary Dreadlocks Shampoo Bar (which says helps dandruff); it works amazingly at dreading up my hair but most of the time doesn't help my scalp at all. I say that because the first month didn't help my scalp, but the last 2 weeks my head was itch free with no dandruff at all. But now I just washed my scalp yesterday and after my hair dried, my scalp is extremely itchy with dandruff and moist, and my roots are moist.
