Introduce Yourself
More people need a good dreaducation.
I think oils and water in a spray bottle would do great. Just keep in mind that some oils (Like teatree and pepermint, etc) dont smell good when mixed with sweat. Honestly, on those days, i get away with just a little spurt of body spray in my locks.
Well, you might be able to get a job working for the city. I used to do environmental surveys for the city and it made me really happy. I got to work in a lab and in the field, which I loved, and it paid nicely. Whatever you want to do is what you should do. Dont be unhappy just for money. I think that if your job is making you that unhappy then its high time you find another one. Best of wishes.
Well, if you are trying to explain to them so that they understand and they dont listen, then there is really nothing you can do. Some people are just like that, ya know? If YOU like your hair is what you really need to think about. I have noticed that when it comes to getting locks, you really have to be thick skinned. People can be very negative and will always look for something they dont like in others. Dreadlocks just give them more ammunition. It wouldn't be called a journey if it was easy, would it? Just keep your head up, kay? Everyone here is on your side.

I think that you should do whatever makes you happy in the end. Weddings are about family and not hair lol. Whatever you do, look your best even if its dreaded or not. BTW congrats on your wedding! Hope your able to work this out.
The back looks like it might need a little love. However, the rest of them look lovely and nicely shaped!
Those are some really good ideas! Thanks so much!

you could wear a head band to keep them back, like a simple black one or something of the sort; it should keep them back enough to hide the frizzness, maybe use a little water to mist them up enough to weigh them and the stray hairs down so they aren't all over the place. my fiance and I both use bandanas to tie ours back because it's not that stretchy bidness that keeps sliding off and less tight/constrictive than an elastic band, fold one up and see if will work for ya
