TnRs starting to twist at the roots??

General Questions

I only have about 15-20 maybe TnR dreads that I let section naturally before TnR and I've let the rest go natural because of how well its been sectioning and knotting on its own. I have a concern about what my TnRs are doing though and its making me think about brushing them out to start over. They are litteraly twisting themselves at the roots! I this normal? I've thought maybe I can correct it by untwisting and using some beads or peyote stitches to keep them from twisting back up, but I don't want to try anything until I know if anyone else has had or seen this before. I'm really not sure if this is just part of what happens with TnR or if maybe they were started wrong, its only happening to a few of my started dreads and the rest are ok. Would it be best to leave the ones that are twisting themselves, try to untwist, or just brush them out? I really wouldn't want to brush the trouble ones, just the thought of picking up a brush again makes me kinda sad.

I'd vote for him. Lol. I could go for a federally issued free pony.

Lol. Yeah. Maybe that's what this country needs, a president with long hair. It'll probably never happen though with the us having as high of a conservative population as it does. Although people are slowly becoming more accepting of things and more liberal for lack of a better word. If more people grew their hair, the world could have a much better chance of becoming one with each other and the earth. I'm suprised I haven't came across this article on here first though.

Its called "the truth about long hair". All the more proof that hair gives one a much greater connection to the earth and everything around us, even for those who don't dread. http://www.spiritscienceandmetaphysics.com/the-truth-about-long-hair/

Where is the natty shack group SE? I'm in pennsylvania near the ohio border right between Pitt and Erie, if its relatively close I'd love to be a part of it.

I don't think it would be a problem bringing her there so young, its just that my partner works and wouldn't be able to come with me and he's worried about something happening on the long trip there, you just never know why could happen in between. And since I'll be breast feeding its not like I could just leave her with him while I go, I think it would just be best if I wait until next year, I'd really love for my daughter to experience something that wonderful as much as possible throughout her childhood and adolescence. The best way to change the world is to teach the children.

We need to start one! I'm almost positive there's enough people on here to do so. I just wish I could go to the rainbow gathering this year=[ I have no way of getting there and my partner is uncomfortable taking our daughter there being so young, she wuld only be a few months old. o

I've always felt like this. I too have a little family of my own, although I am not legally married, I do consider my partner to be my husband and we are expecting a little girl very soon, I hate to think of her growing up in this society and thinking all of its ok, I often think about how I can set her on the right path and mindset for the earth with everything that's going on in the world around her, its going to be a struggle. I often dream of living off the earth with other folks like me and I'm always trying to educate people about how we are destroying the earth by buying into society, I usually just get called a stupid tree hugger hippie though=\ it doesn't stop me though, people who think like that are more of the problem than anyone. I've looked into communal living and I believe that's the way to go, but any commune I've found is just plain corrupt. I'd love to start one with all the right intentions and make it happen and create a haven for people like us where as a group we can try to educate society around us.
