I wanted to do a dread journal when I first did my dreads but I just never got around to it. So five months later.. thought I'd actually do it now. This is mainly just to see my progress.

So my hair is looking okay. My roots are terrible though and I have a lot of loops. I never do maintenance, if I did I bet they would look pretty good. I still have some hair to redread so that will also look better. I bleach a few and colored them blue, pretty awesome looking and wanna put some purple in too.

Life Issues Facing Dreads

So yesterday I added my first forum and got amazing feed back and a few welcomes. This is great! I'm a senior in high school and let me say, it's not easy getting dreads around a bunch of assholes. I've only had mine for a little over a month, so of course they're not even close to looking good. And I get shitted on everyday by people and my friends. The only people that like it are my parents and boyfriend because they say it fits me well. In a school of over 3000 kids, only two people have dreads. One of myacquaintance and I. So I just wanted to say thank you for making me feel so comfortable.Especially as I've been having a hard time liking the way I look because my hair looks like shit! But I do love my dreads. I just hope I get to meet a lot of you.

I have both! What portions do you use? Because as I said, my dreads are new so I'm worried to try anything new.

I've had them for over a month now and a lot of them are going flat. I know this is normal but I was just wandering if there was anything I could do to help them round again.

Then dandruff! I don't use anything in my hair. I actually have only washed my hair twice. Even before I dreaded them, I stopped using shampoo andconditionerto get my scalp used to it. But damn does it look like I have snow all over my head. Anything I can do about it or just stick it out? Also, I'm broke so I don't really want to be buying any expensive stuff.

I love them! It takes a long time but I can tell it was worth it! I love how you wrote about them and what they were doing. I should probably do that too. Just to remember all the craziness I went through. It isdefinitely a fun experience.
