It was for the best. She was super depressed from going being able to fly to not able to move around to easily. When I took her to the vet they put some sort of cast on her wing, that night I put her in a small box (open no top) with a blanket and she slept in the bed with me. Though being her momma I was up like 3 times an hour checking on her. It was hard and I cried but she was just miserable. She stopped singing and would just sit on her perch. Even after her wing was broken she was signing and happy, but then when she realized moving around was hard and her balance was off she went into a feather plucking depression. I made all sort of accommodations but she just lost her will to live I guess. I miss Bella (even though she was a male lol). Cockatiels are just amazing creatures.

I love cockatiels. I had one, but she broke her wing and had a hard time getting around. She was falling and became depressed. I had her put down and I haven't been able to get another one since.
