Welcome. But if you really like the lock peppa, I can give you a tip. Make your own. Get some sea salt from any pet store (Aquarium salt is better than table salt). Mix it in water so that it's only 3.5% salt. Spray it on your head and wash it off after, no longer than, 2 hours. It'll help your locks form faster. But won't weigh them down and leave any nasty dusty look

welcome salons are horible mistakes i believe that 1 uses crochet wich is extremely destructive and delays progress by 6 months or more never ever ever go back for "retightening" that will only make things worrse

Welcome. What exactly did they do at the salon? Salons are notorious for destroying locks. They use wax, gels, and creams. They crochet, interlock, and palm roll, too. Everything mentioned will do nothing but destroy your locks.

Wax prevents locks from ever maturing. It is a hydrocarbon, so it NEVER washes out in normal soap and water. It requires a detergents and tons of scrubbing. If left in your hair, it will create the perfect environment for mold and mildew to form.

Crocheting is the most damaging thing that can be done to locks. It rips hairs into smaller and smaller pieces, which makes your locks weaker and weaker. It also over tightens your locks which makes them take longer to mature. 1 session with a crochet hook delays progress by about 6 months.

The other methods are just as destructive.

Welcome to the community. Unfortunately, the salon was very likely a bad idea. Anything that they do in them are damaging to dreads. Could you please give me a list of exactly what they did? Twist, crochet, used wax etc. Also, have you been going back regularly or at all? Cheers.
