Crystals in your dreads?

Anyone here ever put a crystal actually in their dreads? Like, either a bead, or wire wrapping it in, or even just pushing it in and letting the dread grow around it?

As far as the spiritual aspects of this go, dreads absorb energy, right? And so do crystals. Crystals need to be cleansed with sage or incense or sunlight or what have you, and that would need to be taken into consideration. But do you think it may keep a good energetic connection and flow with you and your stone? Or do you think that would be counterproductive or harmful in some way? I'm interested in hearing anyone's thoughts. I put my Infinite Stone on a dread a couple of nights ago while I slept to help me stop having nightmares, but before I even fell asleep I had practically an electric current from the stone to my third eye and crown; I ended up taking it out so I could sleep, but maybe a more earthy vibration stone might be very beneficial.

Also, a few photos of my collection; I've been collecting ever since I can remember, and my grandmother left me a few larger pieces when she passed in '08.

EDIT: Also, don't worry; All those herbs are legal. Lemon Balm, Yerba Mate, Juniper and sage; No droogz here.
