Welcome to the community. You should find these links useful. (Dead URL) http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/some-links-for-those-new-to-the-forum/a>

Dont palm roll. Just let them be. Wash and separate.

Welcome. I have to warn you not to palm roll, though. If you don't do it often, it does nothing to create lasting knots. If you do it every day, it will severely destroy your roots

Hi Denise. For your dandruff, have you tried to do a baking soda wash and apple cider vinegar rinse? The baking soda exfoliates the scalp without scrubbing, This may help with your dandruff issues. Also, at the end of your shower, hold you head under as cold water as you can take, this will also help and is a free fix...I see you use the DreadShampoo, they are fantastic for hard water, I use the liquid for myself....

Just encase you don't know the baking soda ratio: 1/2 BS to 5 cups water (boil water first since you have hard water) Pour cooled mixture over wet head and leave on for 10 minutes without scrubbing. It will exfolliate all on its own. After rinsing it out, you will follow up with an Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) rinse. Mix 1 capful of ACV to 5 cups water, pour over head and leave on for no longer than 1 minute, you can also rinse it out right away. This will balance the hairs PH and is a dread friendly conditioner.......Try doing this once every couple of weeks until your dandruff is gone.....Peace

I was planning on twist and rip...the neglect method isn't exactly what I want to do. And I decided not to use Dr. Bronners after reading up on it because I do have hard water so I decided to buy a dread soap bar from one of the shops on here
