Oh Boy!!!!! I was afraid of that...seems like no one escapes beauty school without frying their hair...been there! I would use a K-Pak for sure. I know it may disturb your dreads abit by loosening them but you are in bad shape and need the protein. Anyway, you may actually dread up more in the end because you are so fried. Don't try to rush the process of recovery though...if you over use the K-Pak you can make it even more brittle. I would try 3 times a week for a couple of weeks and then 2 times a week for a couple of weeks and then once a week from then on for awhile. Alot will depend on how the hair is bouncing back or not. Also, watch your coloring...don't over color either...try holding off on any touch ups as long as you can. Normally, I wouldn't suggest not washing, but in this case, only use shampoo once a week for a bit. Hope this helps...keep me posted
If I were you, I would wrap each dread in foil. If you attempt adding developer to keep the dreads from drying out you will throw your proportions of developer to bleach off. Make sure that you are using a blue bleach (one that has a blueing agent added), not a regular white bleach...the blue will help tone down any gold. I like to use Wella Blondor..and I would use atleast a 30 vol. developer so that you don't have to leave it so long. Leaving the bleach longer than necessary will risk more damage and breakage. While the dreads are processing, be sure to check for elasticity by gently pulling on the ends to see if the hair is staying strong and also touch them without a glove...if they are sticky or "noodly" you are in trouble, don't let them get to that stage. Good luck <3
dreading stages are alot like human development baby dreads are unformed weak somewhat resembling dreads but barely then teen stage they go wild crazy peirce heings u didnt think were peiracable they sometimes hardly resemble dreads at all but wild alien things craziness u concider having them commited but then they matur into adults cover up the tats dress lil les wild and settle down into a more humdrum life of stability

Bleaching any hair is a challenge...it must be done properly and watched carefully to determine when it is light enough to remove. With dreads, since you are not trimming the hair or using any conditioners, you run a very great risk of having breakage. If you decide to twist, palm roll or crochet bleached dreads...be prepared to wave them goodbye. I wouldn't advise beginning the bleaching process on dreads simply because they will have to be touched up alot and the damage will increase over time. Many people do bleach their dreads, but I think it is risky and asking for trouble.
