Its just when we get on the subject of Sadhus it is the essence of who i am, this will be my life in the bush when my kids are grown, so at least i have a HEAD start on my dreads.
This is their yoga!
A sadhu drying his nine feet long dreads after a dip in the Ganges.
A naga Sadhu smears ash on his face after being ing the Ganges, I have seen people drink the waters their and not get sick after many people urinate in the same river. I saw a documentary where they tested the water in the Ganges and said it has a high abundance of this type of molecule that neutrolized the germs.
Sadhu Sangam the confluence of Ganges Yamuna and mythical Saraswati river.
Naga Sadhus take holy dips at Brahma Kund pf Hare ki Paudi on the occasion of first Shahi Snan durung the Mahakumbh festival in Haridwar.
Anothe ash-smeared Naga sadhu swings his dreads during the Kumbh Mela festival in Haridwar.
An ash smeared Naga Sadhu giving a speech on higher wisdom.
On their way to the Ganges at Hari ki Paud. As you would see many with dreads and some are even bald!
Thank you all for the comments, yes i have seen so many pics of saddhus with extreemly long dreads and haven't even thought of posting them, sadhus are second nature to me as i am on many sites about them and read many books about them, they spend most of their time in meditation and of course believe the spirit is also entwined in their hair (dreads). Being an X hairdresser i have also found that the people from these nationalities hair does grown very fast. When you meet or are near these people the actual molecules seem to change so i can understand the feeling of specialness one would feel just to see and be aware of this.
