well they will teach u patience and when u crochet to speed things up ot actualy slows things down.. a ton yea they look more dreaded to the untrauined eye but it takes many months of loosening to get to the point where they start dreading again properly
when u wash them they do get fuzzy but settle down in no time washing also helps them dread too so dont be afraid to wash them but washing and seperating are the only things u ever should do u shouldnt own a loose hair tool that will create loose hairs u shouldnt woerk on them at all hair will try to dread the momment u stop combing all u have to do is let it do what its trying to do
let them they are only 4 months old do noty ever use anty tools to poke holes in dreads at 4 months they should be at their loosetst and fuzziest doi not interfere in the progress when u crochet u set back progress by a minumum of 6 months thats how long recovery takes stop rushing thinmgs ;..let them happen you should have long hairs that will dread.. let them dread
I watched a lot of videos where people do it really fast and yes, you can hear the hear break every time if you do it like that. Every motion I made was more of a weaving motion, each one deliberate. The final result doesn't last very long though... Even doing it slowly and carefully, I suppose it could still be causing damage. But I've tried a loose-hair tool..Lots of longhairs just seems to slip right out of my dreads, especially when I wash them.
crochets a realllly bad thing to do to dreads though! now that u did it u broke a ton of haiers and will need constant repar which breaks more u really should throw the hook away right away
