slightly different baking soda method

When i wash my dreads, i like to get the dreads real wet then take a glass, and fill it a little less than halfway full with baking soda then the rest of the way with water.

That way it starts of mostly liquid after you stir it enough that you can dip your dreads into it first, but then spoon out the baking soda thatll be piled up quite a bit at the bottom and will be like a paste,then just put that on all the dreads.

then sometimes wrap them in plastic so the water and baking soda wont drip out. then just leave it in for ten minutes before the acv rinse.

i also use some teas and herbs mixed into a tea (awesome that i cook so i had alot of them in my kitchen already haha)

but anyway the point is, i wonder if i am nearly the only one who does this because i always read about it being done how it says on this site, with the bowl or pitcher and so forth

anyone else do this?
