We all should know the medicinal properties of honey and cinnamon. But how about black pepper? black pepper can ward off colds and other congestion issues.
I found that when I try to quit, brewing a nice hot cup of water with a tsp of cinnamon, a tbls of honey and a few dashes of black pepper help sooth my throat for the arduous process ahead. The pepper not only helps with congestion, but it also adds a little harshness that you would normally get from the cig. Drink as much as you want to throughout the day. There's never been too much for me. I've drank over 5-6 cups a day before.
