The Golden Rule

In my oppinion, The Golden Rule is one of the strongest tools I use for peace. I really do believe that I should treat other how I want to be treated. I want to be treated with respect and peace so that's how I treat others. Everyone. I've been told that I'm Naive for being that way because "to think that you'll get respect from people just by giving it makes makes no sense, it just makes you a brown noser'. I don't believe that at all. I'm only one person so if I can spread some happiness to everyone Imeet by treating them like I think everyone should be treated, then maybe I can influence them to do that to...it's kind of like that commercial, (I don't remember which one it is but when I do I'll post the link) where a person is being shown kindness and it's like a chain reaction of kindness. It's not exactly how it works all the time but I know that I deffinitely feel better after being treated nice and want to make others feel like that.
