Hears how I do My baking soda deep cleanse.... It works great for me.
I have a lot of hair so I use:
2 gal. of water
1 cup of baking soda
1/2 cup sea salt
1/2 cup of lemon or lime juice
Put 2 gal. of water in large pot.
Put on stove and turn temp on high.
Add baking soda, sea salt, and lime juice.
Bring to a simmer..... just before boiling.
Take it off the stove and pour into clean sink with the drain plugged.
Wait till its a temp your comfortable with.
Soak for 15 to 20 min.
Then rinse out your dreads till no more residue comes out.
If your doing this for the first time.... you might have to do it twice.
You'll be surprised how much crap comes out.
And if you have less hair than I do you can probably cut the recipe in half.
