occupy the earth and live free
there are so many "occupy" events happening globally its about time we just occupy our earth as one people united against greed, war, and the "occupying forces" that claim rulership over our lands..we the people occupy this earth in numbers in the billions yet we turn over our power to a handful of greedy individuals well its about time we occupy our planet for ourselveswhy do we still expect corporations and governments to rescue us and fix all our problems?
its time we gather together within our communities and find solutions to global problems on local levels
I agree sambo and Change~, i will rarely buy anything new anymore i find things second hand for free. If i do buy i try to do it consciously from companies and people who are on the same page. It's hard not to end up with loads of plastic just made in China when you have little kids.
I was quite surprised there was a small Occupy gathering in the capital where i live, it's a very small old fashioned place. I am trying to get there this Saturday.
that is my problem too, I feel as if I am the only one in my town that feels the way I do, i could be wrong, but that is how it seems at the moment.
true bother, i've been really fortunate to have found others on that similar track, community makes a huge difference. we're in the process of settin up a totally self sufficient farm, its hard work but absolutely worth it. good luck mate.
my apartment is baren of anything a normal person would have, white walls, just a couch and tv, nothing to look at but guitars. i stopped buying things that i "wanted" and only get what i need a long time ago.

i'm a big fan of the occupy movement and support their views, though would i be wrong to think that maybe a better solution to the problem of corporate inequality would be to stop buying the products produced by those corporations? isn't that where they get their power from? though it seems that they control us, isn't it us that give them their power by consuming and depending on their products? i'm not judging anyone here btw its just a little idea that popped into my head
is there a link for these occupy events? or a main site where you can learn about your local area? trying to see exactly what you suggest we do here.
