Hi Shinako! My computer isnt acting right hope i can tell you a little bit... I think its very important to get dread maintenance every once in a whileor when affordable. I cant come on this site and say things that contradict this site but I can only tell you what I've done and like to do. I provide pictures too! For the most part I let naturally grow. I've had maintenace a few times to keep the dreads neat and keep them growing in the desired direction. I wash at least 2-3 times a month. My hair grows fast but I believe water makes them grow! Air dry pull apart(gently) to keep seperate and keep from matting. essential oils applied to scalp to keep moisterized . and wont be dry. but anytime you put oil in your hair there will be build up. washing is important. Have a relationship with your hair...know what it can take. have paitience. Oh yeah Im not really sure about hair thats naturally straight or not african with the wax issue. I use ample wax when i do. but my hair naturally kinky. I wish I could tell you for sure. thanks for comments! Use lots of Love!!!
