Welcome. It's good that you are too broke for wax. Wax stops locks from forming and will destroy them. Also, palm rolling will damage your roots so badly that it can take years to recover if you ever do. Check out my video on what palm rolling did to my locks.

All you have to do is wash and separate
Palm rolling will do nothing for you, since you have not used wax. You may actually bedamagingthe roots if your palmrolling a lot.
