I am not sure where you live, but if in the States, here is a map to show you what water type you have. Many dread shampoos & bars don't work in hard water, like Dr.Bronners, they slowly leave behind a residue. If you have hard water, we can help you out with what to use and how to use the Baking Soda wash (just use bottled water for the 5 cups ratio so the BS dissolves properly). Need help, just let us know....Peace
If you are in Canada, I have a map for that area...
Welcome to the community Ryan. The sections you have will become the thickness of where the hair meets the scalp. When they are matureing, they slowly shrink, loop, zig zag and work their way up to that thickness, so no worries. I have a posting on T&R dreads and what to expect if you are interested in reading it to help with any questions you may have....enjoy your new journey...Peace (Dead URL) http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/just-starting-out-what-to-expect/a>
