"My locks are. 1.5 years, I use dolly locks conditioning oil. Before I got that I would wet my hands and drip a few drops of EO and rub it all over my ends."

"I agree to vicki's dreadlock shampoo. Perhaps a deep cleansing soak with BS/ACV would be good first if they are really in need of cleaning"

It has taken me 6 months to realize I can not control the bumps and loops. I'm at 7 months now and everything is loops. The locs at the crown of my head are maturing faster than any others.

Really made some serious progress, I'd say 80% is feeling like real locks. It's been about 2 months I think maybe 2.5 I put the wraps and beads in and out. I don't like them for more than two days at a time. Although they do help the process. I use a sea salt spray about once a week, and diluted tea tree oil on my scalp when it gets itchy. I'm washing about every 3 to 4 days

So my family has finally expressed their opinion of my dreads. The fact that they finally noticed is due to the fact that I decorated my dreads today with open wraps and beads. I love them btw. My husband and 11 yr old daughter are very unhappy about them. For natural dreads I'm doing a lot of maintenance, (separating)and keeping them looking tidy. I would love if they accept them but it won't make me sway either way.
