i put one on ur face book or at least i think i did. idk how to send u a link im not the best with comp stuff. i guess i could send u a email. ill see what i can do
anything over an inch thick takes a vdery long time to dry so washing becomes a hazzard as they are likely to get moldy since they can take several days to dry completely
they can pull unevenly causing pain
they can be unconfortable to sleep on
etc etc
yea u can get thick dreads by just not seperating much..but once thick u cant go thinner
Definitely wash your hair regularly like every 2-3 days. In the beginning you really want to make sure that your hair stays oil free. Washing encourages knotting and dries out the hair just enough to give it grip. That's why spraying it with sea salt spray or swimming in the ocean works so well.
Welcome. How'd you start out?

backcombed dreads stick up only in the 1st month waxy or crochet dreads can stick up cause they are stiff
but
thick dreads can stick way way way up
look at early pics of steel pulse
his stick up like that cause of how huge they are at the base
but as they grow weight takes over and they hang down
