Hi Karen, thank you. Yes, we love our kitties here. I'm letting my dreads go natural. I tried TnR but it all fell out. Some of my forming dreads are starting to get really short, I've lost a bit over half my hair length in places. My hair was almost as long as yours before I started. Is that happening to you?

Hi Karen, first of all i want to thank you for your comment. Mine are a bit older than 5 years, i don't know exactly how old. I haven't palmrolled them, so they will be bumpy and with loops. I love it when dreads have a lot of caracter and when theyform by there own. It gives hair so much more meaning instead of thinking"it's just hair". I see you also have dreads, it looks like a great start. The color is also one of my favorites, iloooovee blonde dreads. I have to compliment you for taking care of your son, i have worked with people with an handicap and i know itcan bea hell of a job.Luckelythey are in my opinionthe most friendly, honest and grateful people on earth!

Hope you have a great day! :)

hey karen! well, i used to not wash my dreads very often. probably every 3 weeks or so... i washed my regular hair only once a week so that's just what ended up working out for me, even though the sound of it might make some people cringe, haha. lately i've been washing it every week, week and a half just for fun. before i used a maylee's bar, but now i just do some baking soda and sea salt.

my hair has always been pretty thick. i actually think it looks thinner than it did before i had dreads, but that's probably in my head!

i think your dreads are going to look amazing. i love the hair you left undreaded around your face! it looks like a mane. one thing to keep in mind that i didn't really realize at first, is the dreads you made now are going to thicken up way way more than you think they are! i'm left with a lot of dreads i wish i could undo and make into 3! :)

Thank you Karen :)! I don't know what I'm going to do about the gray either. I'm not quite ready to go all the way yet. I always do it myself and only get the roots at the part which leaves the undergrowth still gray. Well, that gray is showing up in the new dreads and I know I don't want to dye my whole head, so I think I will continue superficially dying the part (or skunk stripe) and hairline and let the under growth of gray swirl through the dreads until I get used to the idea of it. Lol! Mine isn't a pretty silver unfortunately, it's salt and pepper :( I look forward to watching your progress :)
