welco,e exactly as baba said definately dont retwist if u see those who twist have scalp showing? that will widen the dreads will thin and break and u will be making yourself bald

eventualy u get to a point of no return amd need a hair transplant

Welcome. Now that you've twisted once, leave them to lock up. Retwisting will only cause you to go bald. It creates a condition called traction alopecia. Retwisting will only hurt, not help. It thins out your locks and eventualy they can pop off.

Al you need now, is to wash and separate them

welcome but crochet is extremely bad for dreads all your doing is breaking hairs wich then pop out so you crochet them back in ..breaking more your creating the need to crochet vby crocheting

and its only causing them to get weaker and weaker

Welcome. Crocheting is actually the most damaging thing that can be done to locks. Crochet needles are only designed to be used on strong fibers like yarn to make clothes. All it does to locks is rip your hair into tiny pieces, which makes them weaker and weaker. They get frizzy because of these broken hair, and make it feel like you need to crochet over and over again. If you only used it once to start, that's not as bad But using it for maintenance, thins out your roots and can cause locks to fall out because of the weigh of them pulling on such thin roots
