Welcome. But locks should take no work at all. If you are using a starter method, it can take some. But they are the easiest hairstyle to have. If you're working on them, you're missing the point.
And KB is no good for locks. None of their products were ever made for locks. They were just repackaged for locks.
Welcome. But retwsisting will only help you go bald. It will not help you have healthy locks for years and years. If you can ever see scalp showing between locks, that is the beginning of a condition called traction Alopecia. It is very damaging and will lead to baldness if you don't stop twisting.
Your roots will lock on their own. There's nothing you need to do except separate them to keep them apart. Retwisting will only hurt them
