Welcome. But I have to let you know that root rubbing causes locks to fall off. It's pretty much like rubbing a brillo pad against your scalp. It breaks hairs and causes sores to form under your locks. They scab over and hair doesn't grow fast enough to replace it. They grow out with thin spots and weaker than before. Your roots will naturally tighten themselves. Baby locks should always have 1-3 inches of loose/straight hair at the roots. ANYTHING you do to tighten them will only cause harm and will damage the longevity of your locks
Welcome. Eagle's right. Wax prevents locks from forming. It traps water inside your locks and creates the perfect environment for mold and mildew to grow. If it's not cleaned out, it will cause your hair to rot and can start falling out. The wax will keep it looking like it's still attached, but if you leave it there long term, when you wash, it will start to fall out. I lost 1/2 of my hair to wax with my first set.
Wax is also a hydrocarbon. It will NEVER wash out in normal soap and water. It NEEDS a detergents and lots of scrubbing and time to clean it out.
Palm rolling, will only do 1 of 2 things. If you don't do it much, it won't create lasting knots. And if you do it a lot, it will damage your hair so severely that you may not be able to fix it
