Does look hard 2 do but being an X hairdresser i can see its been bleached first so the colours can come up vibrant, would be a hard job not overlapping the colours!
I can't afford 10$ for shampoo, im living with my mom.I just got my G.E.D.(today I got a letter with a diploma in it, so im happy!) I might buy some of that shampoo when I get a job, but that will take a while..

Welcome. Normal shampoo will leave residue in your hair and prevent knotting. Plus most regulare shampoos are toxic to your health. Suave shampoo's are extremely toxic. One of their ingredients is methylisothiazolinoe (yes, I spelled that from memory). It has been directly linked to multiple types of cancer just from skin exposure.
Check out dreadlockshampoo.com. Their soaps are amazing. Completely designed for dreadlocks. They are all natural and use as much local products as they can.
Check out the groups pages. We have a Wiccan and pagan group that seems to have been very active in the past few weeks.
Welcome to the forum.Do not use shampoo. It will prevent dreading if it has residues, which it most likely has. It is probable that nothing else worked because you are using shampoo. The following link has exact ratios for mixing your own shampoo (BS/ACV).
