Welcome. Check out the dreaducation page first. There's great info there on the healthy methods to use and info on all of the damaging methods out there. Then look into the timeline forums to see what the coming weeks an months will bring you. Mature locks take, on average, a full year to form

Welcome. Crocheting is actually the most damaging thing that can be done to locks. It breaks hairs into smaller and smaller pieces, which weakens your locks.

If you only did it once, to start, it's not as bad, but it will delay progress for up to 6 months. If you want healthy, locks that will last you a lifetime, don't use keep doing it
