welcome as you know bob had never twisted or done any starter methods nor maintenance just let them dread as they wanted thois is still and will always be the best way to dread
when salons start sdreaeds they tell you to not wash for a year then only wash once every few months (eww) then retwist or do other crazy kmaintenande (wich they want you to pay them for) every few weeks or a month
the retwisting and retightening pulls themk way too tight wich puts traction on the scalp causing traction alopecia and balding
the best thing you can do now is get on a natural path
just wash 1-3 times a eeek with a good dread shamppoo (these bars are best www.dreadlockshampoo.com ) and then seperate as needed
Welcome. You won't regret going natural from here. Retwisting does nothing to help your hair lock. It's just helps thin out your roots and damage your hair. Retwisting more than 2-3 times a year is too much
good to meet ya too
Welcome and Happy Dreading.
