Hi there. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. How are the dreads coming on? Is your soap working? I've had to start my dreads over again. I'm cheating a little with the twist and rip. Hope you're keeping well
I'm good thanks. How are you? Glad to hear that your hair is coming along well. No dreads forming in my hair yet. I don't think it'll be much longer though, it's getting there. As you said, just like bed head lol. Haven't been to any of the caribbean shops yet, i plan to go soon tho. It's just finding the time to get there. what did you make your shampoo bar with? Good idea when it's hard to find things in the shops.
Funny story with the comb lol. Remember that Baking soda is called bicarbonate or soda in the uk. U'll find it in the cake isle if you don't already know lol. I'm sure you'll find something in london to help with your dreads. Are you going to add essential oils to ur baking soda wash? I got Tea tree today and i have lavender also
I still can't find any shampoo either. The baking soda is supposed to be the best for dreads though, so i'm just going to stick to that just now. When i get to the caribbean shop i'll let you know what i get in there and if it works. I got an empty spray bottle in morrisons supermarket. I'm going to wait a few days before washing my hair again to try things over. How long have you been dreading? My hair just looks likespaghetti lol. I'm only a week in though, so at least it's a start i guess
How did the soap work out for your hair? I heard that you shouldn't really use soap on your hair, but there are a few people on this site that seem to be talking about the natural soaps. I used the baking soda last night, but i didn't use the cider vinegar and my hair looks a little greasy now. I'm going to wash it again tonight and rinse it with the vinegar this time to see if it helps. I'll let you know how that goes.
I didn't manage to find anything either. Just things over the internet. I'm just going to try the baking soda and apple cidervinegarwash. I'm doing it for the first time today so i'll let you know how it goes. I was also told that you can find products for dreads inCaribbean shops, if you know of any. I think i have a few in town where i live, so if i find anything else i'll let you know about that too lol. It's good that we are growing our dreads at the same time. It'll be good to see how we both get along
Hi there. Hope you didn't mind me adding you. I just joined a few hours ago and i am doing the same method as you. I only have one contact and looking for more, just wondered if you wanted one lol
